Brazil is the largest country in South America. Brazil is also the fifth most populous country on Earth, and it is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean in the north and south, and it contains most of the Amazon river basin, which has the world’s largest system.

There is an ongoing argument, between February 25 and the present, and it is mostly found among Nigerians. This issue was based on the carnival which was held in Brazil, which mocked God and project the worship of Satan.

This Carnival is a renowned festival that takes place every year, usually in February or early March. It is an energetic and colourful celebration of Brazilian culture and identity, endowed with music, dancing, parades, and fun making.

The Carnival was held this year from February 15 to 25, 2023 in Rio de Janeiro.

However, the Carnival was followed by devastating floods that quaked the City, killing people. The heavy rain and floods in Sao Paulo State, which occurred on February 25, 2023, claimed a lot of lives.

Nevertheless, after these floods, many people thought that the reason behind the flood incident was that they mocked God, and He decided to punish them.

These same people, making this controversial statement, are also forgetting that Brazil is surrounded by Waters and as such, these occurrences are meant to happen, as has been seen in the past.

I am not trying to say that, God cannot deal with them. But at least, we should try to understand the issues between religion and natural disasters, and also we should make ample research about such community, or as is in this case, “Brazil” before concluding on such theories.

What of the Earthquake that rocked Turkey? Will you say that it is because they offended God, that such things happen to them?

You might be thinking, that I am not a Christian, but to surprise you, I am one, even till the moment of writing this article.

As I have stated before, I shouldn’t be misquoted, and at the same time, we should not deliberate on issues that we can’t defend if we are called upon.

I remain your humble writer.
